LL COOL J has announced his first arena tour in 30 years and he’ll be hitting the road for the star-studded “ultimate Hip Hop mash-up tour” alongside many surprise guests.
Launched in conjunction with LL’s Rock The Bells and Live Nation Urban on Tuesday (April 25), The F.O.R.C.E. Live will kick off in Boston on June 25 and trek through North America before wrapping up at Inglewood’s Kia Forum on September 3.
The Queens legend is set to headline the tour alongside The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Z-Trip.
“This is not a moment, it’s a movement. For my first Arena tour in 30 years, I am bringing you THE F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy),” LL COOL J wrote on Instagram.
“@theroots, @ztrip & @djjazzyjeff will join me in the ultimate Hip-Hop mash-up with a legendary non-stop continuous set! We hit the stage on 6.25 in Boston, MA and will make our way to Los Angeles, CA on 9.3. Tickets on presale now.”

Each stop will be filled with a range of Hip Hop royalty special guests that include icons such as Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Ross, Queen Latifah, Big Boi, De La Soul, Jadakiss, Method Man, Redman, Rakim, Common and more.
Pre-sale tickets are now live with the general public having their shot on Friday (April 31). The tour will hit 24 cities in total with stops in Brooklyn, Toronto, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas and more.
“We heard you loud and clear after the Grammys this year. After the #HipHop50 celebration we got so many ‘that’s it?! that’s all?!!!’ messages,” Questlove added on Instagram.
“Welp, this is ‘Do You Want More?!’ coming to light. We are bringing you more. For starters I’m excited because for the first time in 30 years my band is doing their first major arena tour. 24 cities across the US!”
This won’t be a traditional rap concert with a headliner hours after doors open as The F.O.R.C.E. Live will feature a “continuous musical set” and include a “complete live mixtape of rotating artists.”
News of Uncle L’s tour comes on the heels of him revealing that his much anticipated 14th studio album is on the way — and it’s executive produced by Q-Tip.
However, there was a moment he had presumably pumped the brakes on the project due to issues with the recording process. But he later revealed he was just trolling fans.
In a series of now deleted tweets, he revealed that he was still “trying to figure this album out” and followed that up with a post that read, “just not feeling like this album is worthy of being released [facepalm emoji] I tried.”
However, LL COOL J returned hours later to clarify that the project is still moving forward and tagged Q-Tip. Mr. Smith also trolled fans with a boisterous reason behind the delay with the album.
“Okay so everyone’s been asking me about the new record and my decision and I was considering not putting the album out because IT’S TOO FUCKING GOOD,” LL said in the clip. “Q-Tip you a genius baby this my favorite album I ever made. I can’t wait for y’all to hear this. Tracklist coming soon.”
