In 2011, Pitbull scored one of the biggest hits of the year with “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo. But a line referencing Lindsay Lohan could have led to legal problems – until now.
TMZ reports that Lindsay Lohan’s 2011 lawsuit against the rapper for using her name in the song has been resolved in Pitbull’s favor.
Specifically, Lohan sued Pitbull for the line, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan,” claiming that the Miami rapper never got permission to use her name and therefore should not be allowed to profit off of it.
A New York federal judge disagreed, holding that Pitbull’s speech is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Pitbull responded to Lohan’s lawsuit in 2011, stating he meant no harm by the line. He later filed a countersuit against Lohan.
The case has been dismissed.
All I remember from this case is that Pitbull acted like a scared bitch, when she brought the suit to him. Dude’s a fag.
I clicked on this fag’s response from 2011, and realized that nobody links their facebook to their comments anymore…wonder why nobody does that shit anymore? hahaha
Lohan needs money does she? How many chances does she want?
RAPPER !!!!
Lol. Who cares? None of these two count as rappers.
Yeah I know right, Cause when I think of hip hop, I think of Linsay Lohan and Pitbull
nah, pitbull isn’t a rapper. he is an opera singer….
I dont get why ppl hate rappers like Pitbull and Flo Rida… dem niggaz makin catchy radio hitz and club bangerz… and dey are still gangstas… betta den Feminem’s emo muzik. swag
Lohan was desperate for money. I don’t like Pitbull very much, but it was still a pathetic lawsuit.
Lohan is the Ultimate loser.
I wondered what happened with this case. Thanks for the update
Pitbull = says his name at the beginning of every song so you can have time to change the song.
Bitch Lohan deserved da loss. swag
