Lil Zay Osama has been getting heavily roasted on social media by fans after his mugshot stemming from his January arrest leaked online earlier this week.

Osama was scooped up by Chicago police officers on January 11 and taken into custody where he was hit with weapons charges. The OTF rapper’s mugshot captures him looking completely baffled and staring away from the camera with his hands inside his tank top.

Social media couldn’t get enough of the mugshot this week while coming up with various captions clowning Lil Zay Osama.

“When your mom wakes you up early for school and you decide to day dream,” one person wrote, while another added: “This how i used to be for school early in the morning zoned out sitting in the bathroom tryna warm up.”

Some understood where Zay Osama was coming from since it’s allegedly cold inside jail and others pointed to him appearing to be high off some sort of prescription drugs.

Lil Zay (real name Isaiah Dukes) was arrested on two counts of illegal possession of a weapon and another count of trespassing on January 11 in Chicago.

Osama and two others were reportedly driving in a stolen vehicle and when pulled over, they tried to escape before being apprehended by authorities on foot. Police allegedly found six guns inside the vehicle and Zay Osama was released on bail just hours later.

This wasn’t Lil Zay’s only recent arrest as he was handcuffed in New York City in September after an Uber driver who chauffeured Zay and two of his friends from Manhattan to a studio alerted authorities that his passengers had left a gun in the car.

The weapon in question was a Glock 22.40 which had been enhanced with a “switch” device, giving the gun rapid-fire capability like a machine gun. About a month later, Lil Zay Osama posted a $1million bail to secure his release on October 29.

On the music side of things, the Chicago rhymer made an appearance on OTF’s Loyal Bros 2 compilation project and unleashed his first single of 2023 on January 13 with “Glah Glah, Pt. 2.”
