The lucky winner was announced via the livestream and was told they’ll be getting flown out to Rolling Loud California where Lil Boat will perform in the sneakers and personally hand them to the fan.

The pair of kicks came from the Atlanta rapper’s massive sneaker collection. According to an official press release, Yachty’s pair is so rare that not a single pair is available for sale in the United States. Alternate colorways of the same shoe, such as the “Bred” and “Royal” from 1985, are currently on the resale market between $45,000 and $95,000.

Lil Yachty is known for having some of the world’s most exclusive sneakers, from the Nike Air Mag “Back to the Future” to the rarest pair of Jordans ever released, the UNDFTD Air Jordan 4 Retro, which is currently reselling for over $300,000.

The Air Jordan 1s were released in 1985, a year after Michael Jordan‘s rookie season, and was Nike’s first signature basketball shoe. It’s widely considered one of the most iconic designs in the history of footwear and has transcended into pop culture.

Although Yachty’s prize is impressive, he can’t take the crown for giving away the rarest sneakers on the planet. In 2021, the Nike Air Yeezy 1 “Prototype” that Kanye West wore for his performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards was auctioned off for a record $1.8million.

The pair served as the predecessor to Kanye’s brief Nike Air Yeezy collection. Every single pair from that collection are on the resale market for over $5,000. The most expensive pair is the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October,” which is going for over $15,000.
