Lil Wayne

While his labelmates and mentors Big Tymers, are riding high with their new album ‘Hood Rich’, Lil Wayne has plans to keep the “bling, bling” lifestyle of Cash Money Records going. Now that Juvenile, Turk and BG have left Cash Money to pursue careers either alone or with other crews, Lil Wayne’s role has become even more important. With the arrival of TQ, Mack 10, Boo and Gotti (formerly of R. Kelly’s Rockland Records) and Gillie da Kid, Cash Money is giving Lil Wayne more than enough room to show the world how a Hot Boy does it. “ A lot of artist have gone their separate ways and it’s just me and the Big Tymers basically (as original acts). It’s just a whole lot of maturity with me”, Lil Wayne said. “I grew up; I’m into a lot more things. I got a lot more money, I get to go to other places and see a lot more. I don’t know if everybody’s been sleeping on the boy, but I got one of the best flows in America”.

Although he has his own record company, Young Money Entertainment, his new album “500 Degreez” is sure to raise some questions. With Juvenile releasing his multi-platinum album “400 Degreez” on Cash Money Records four years ago, Lil Wayne is just trying to give him praise for a hot album. “Homie put a record out under Cash Money Records, ‘400 Degreez’. That was the biggest selling record we ever put out. Instead of marking it or playing with it, I’m kind of praising it. It’s five hundred because it’s a whole lot hotter”, he said. You can check out his first video “Way of Life” on BET’s Access Granted.
