Lil Wayne has thrown his support behind the Writer’s Guild of America in its strike against Hollywood, supplying a Fatburger truck for the people at the picket line.
On Thursday (May 25), Weezy sent a truck over to the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California for lunchtime – which followed a breakfast sent over by actor Greg Berlanti.

“Thank you, Lil Wayne, for sending a @Fatburger truck to the picket lines today AND for having a turkey burger so I can keep this #StrikeBodSummer going! #WritersStrike #WGAStrong,” one picketer wrote along with pictures of the menu.

Lil Wayne’s support follows Flavor Flav joining the picket line one week prior, showing up at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, California where fellow stars Quinta Brunson and Jason Sudeikis were also there to support.
“Glad to be here, glad to support. I got ya’ll back,” Flav said in a clip captured by TMZ. It was also reported he brought along 25 Prince Street pizzas, 100 burgers from Irv’s Burgers, and Liquid Death Water.
And it was only right he briefly performed Public Enemy’s protest anthem, “Fight the Power.”
Snoop Dogg added his voice to the fight earlier this month, urging artists to boycott streaming services while he spoke on a panel alongside his business partner Larry Jackson and Variety‘s Shirley Halperin.
“[Artists] need to figure it out the same way the writers are figuring it out,” Snoop said. “The writers are striking because [of] streaming, they can’t get paid. Because when it’s on the platform, it’s not like in the box office.

“I don’t understand how the fuck you get paid off of that shit. Somebody explain to me how you can get a billion streams and not get a million dollars?… That’s the main gripe with a lot of us artists is that we do major numbers… But it don’t add up to the money. Like where the fuck is the money?”
