Lil Wayne has been in the game for nearly three decades, and at this point, clubs don’t really do it for him like his other passions.

The legendary rapper was spotted enjoying himself at a post-Grammys party in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 5), but it wasn’t because of the drinks or the music.

Instead, Tunechi was happily seated and thrilled by the skate video he was watching on his phone while everyone partied around him.

The party punctuated a very busy weekend for Weezy, who was honored with the Global Impact Award at the inaugural Recording Academy Honors ahead of the awards show. Though he wasn’t physically present, Drake sent his former mentor tons of praise in a pre-recorded message played at the ceremony.

“I know I probably get annoying with saying how much you mean to me and my family, but I think I speak on behalf of everybody when I say that our careers, our cadences, our melodies, maybe our face tats or our outfits or our decisions in general would not have been the same without your natural gift to just be yourself,” Drizzy said in a video tribute.

Lil Wayne then closed out the awards show itself with a Last Supper-inspired performance of “God Did” alongside JAY-Z, DJ Khaled, Rick RossJohn Legend and Fridayy.

Joined by a live band and with Legend perched behind a piano, Rozay and Weezy kicked things off with their guest verses while Khaled played his familiar role of hypeman.

Hov then tore through his show-stealing verse in one take while seated behind a lavish dinner table, where he was accompanied by Ross, Wayne and Khaled, as well as loyal associates “OG Juan” Perez and Emory “Vegas” Jones — both of whom he name-dropped on the song.

“God Did” entered the 65th Annual Grammy Awards with nominations in three categories: Song of the Year, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. The track did not take home any trophies, however.
