Lil Wayne has revealed that his secret to staying healthy over the years has had nothing to do with exercise and everything to do with what happens in his kitchen.

The Young Money boss caught up with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe recently for a conversation that ranged from his latest single, the DMX-assisted “Kant Nobody” to his highly anticipated 15th studio album, Tha Carter VI. When the chat turned to more personal matters, Weezy revealed that, thanks to his mother’s influence, he’s managed to remain healthy by watching his diet.

“When I was 19 I moved to Miami and my mom is a chef and she was very happy for the move because New Orleans is crazy,” Lil Wayne said. “One thing she really wanted me to do was get a personal chef. So therefore you’re not just eating anything.”

“So from the age of 19 to now, I’ve always had a personal chef,” he continued. “I haven’t eaten any fast food forever. I don’t know what McDonalds smell like. Only gyms I know is Jim Jones. I can’t lift a weight. I don’t do no workout.”

Wayne’s appearance on Apple Music 1 seems to indicate he’s ramping up to drop the next project in the Tha Carter series, as it coincided with the release of “Kant Nobody.”

The first offering from his forthcoming album, the Swizz Beatz-produced song arrives amid a rekindled debate in Hip Hop following Billboard and VIBE’sTop 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time list.

Wayne — who was ranked No. 7 behind JAY-ZKendrick LamarNas2PacEminem and Biggie — reminds fans of his lyrical prowess and prolific legacy over a gritty, thumping beat that samples DMX’s 1998 cut “N-ggaz Done Started Something.”

“Best rapper, ex-trapper, dress dapper/ Swizzy gave me a head-banger, a neck-snapper/ X factor, make a rapper an example/ All I need is a beat with a DMX sample,” Weezy spits on the hook.

X, who tragically passed away in 2021 and sits at No. 21 on Billboard and VIBE’s aforementioned list, appears courtesy of his signature barking vocals, as well as an audio clip of him declaring that “can’t no-fucking-body fuck with me with this rap shit.”

Lil Wayne also addressed the list during his Apple Music 1 appearance, explaining that he is simply not concerned with the ranking as he’s confident that everyone knows he’s really the G.O.A.T.

“Man, who the hell is before me?” Wayne questioned. “Was the list including ALL Hip Hop, like before and after as well? I can deal with that… I will tell you that I am a muthafuckin’ one. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I’m number one. Go ask ’em. They know what it is.”

Ahead of Wayne on the list, in reverse order, were Biggie SmallsEminem2pacNasKendrick Lamar and JAY-Z.
