Lil Uzi Vert has kickstarted the Eternal Atake 2 era with a new song that sounds like the theme to a television show.

Uzi’s “Uzi The Earthling! (TV Show Theme)” appeared on streaming services on Wednesday (October 23), and features a mysterious image against a white cover for its album art. “EA2” can be seen in the symbol.

The song features a female vocalist performing a TV theme-style number, which contains the following lyrics: “Here’s the story of a guy named Uzi/ Who’s known for his diamonds and his style/ From the streets to the stage, boy is busy/ Making music that’ll make you smile/ Little Uzi Vert, he’s the one to see/ Bringing joy to you and me/ Little Uzi Vert, he’s the one to see.”

It was back in August that the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper confirmed a new project is on the way, despite previously announcing they’d be retiring from music after their last project.

In a conversation with social media personality Ben Weiss, Uzi was asked what they were working on and revealed that their next album would be Eternal Atake 2. This directly contradicts what they told fans last October, however.

During night two of their Pink Tape Tour in Chicago, the Philadelphia rapper said that their upcoming album Luv Is Rage 3 would be their “last.”

The rapper promised fans that they will embark on one more tour to support the project, but said they will retire from music after it finishes in hopes of leading a “normal life.”

Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” Uzi told the crowd at the time, which was met by audible disappointment. “No, relax. It’s okay […] After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”

In December of last year, Lil Uzi Vert also offered up a sample from Luv Is Rage 3, though it’s possible now that the snippet could be from Eternal Atake 2.
