Lil Scrappy Partners With J. Wells’ Bonzi Records, Preps “The Grustle” For 2012

    Atlanta, Georgia veteran rapper Lil Scrappy announced a new venture this morning. The artist formerly signed to Lil Jon’s BME imprint, Ludacris’ DTP Records, as well as a venture with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records has now partnered with J. Wells‘ Bonzi Records. Scrappy’s Gs Up label and manager Kevin Clark’s  S-Line imprint teamed with the producer-turned-A&R for the likes of Kurupt, Goodie Mob and others.

    Scrappy’s Bonzi debut will be his long-delayed The Grustle studio album. The work, planned for early 2012, will feature Bun B, 2 Chainz and Twista (including the single “Helicopter” ), among others. Prior, Scrappy is said to be releasing a mixtape with DJ Scream next month.

    Now independent, Scrappy’s last studio album was 2010’s Prince of The South 2, with Real Talk Entertainment.

      Is dude kin to or affiliated with Bonzi Wells?

      If not, Bonzi Wells needs to sue that dude because he’s coming up off his name. That’s too similar
