Lil Nas X has officially gotten his first tattoo – but the process didn’t come without a bit of a struggle.
The “Industry Baby” singer shared photos of his new ink on his Instagram page on Thursday (November 17), clearly wincing in pain as the tattoo artist put the needle to his skin.

“Juh got my first tattoo,” he captioned the carousel of images, tagged from Barcelona, Spain.
The end result garnered a much happier expression, however, as his grill shines brightly while showing off the new image on his wrist. The symbol he tattooed was used in various imagery during the rollout of his 2021 album Montero, so it clearly has special meaning to him.

Lil Nas X is currently overseas for his Long Live Montero Tour, which kicked off stateside in September and hit major cities like Chicago, Boston, New York City and more before heading over to Europe. The Barcelona stop marked the finale of the international trek, which also stopped in the Netherlands, Germany, England, France and Belgium.
The tour went off without a hitch, though the singer/rapper did have a bathroom-related emergency while on stage at his Atlanta stop.
And while homophobic protestors attempted to make a statement outside of his Boston stop, Lil Nas X responded to the hatred with love by sending them some pizza.
It hasn’t been all work for the Montero creator, though. While he had some off-time around Halloween, Lil Nas X had some fun dressing up as “Munch” rapper Ice Spice – much to the Bronx artist’s delight.

“U win,” Ice wrote with a crying laughing emoji as she retweeted Lil Nas X’s video where he donned a wig of her signature orange curls, cutoff shorts, long nails and a tube top.
