Lil Baby’s team has responded to reports that he was expected to grace the stage at a pride event in Washington, D.C.

Despite a flyer circulating indicating Lil Baby would headline the Pride event, Lil Baby’s team told The Neighborhood Talk that he not only wasn’t invited, but hadn’t even heard of it.

The My Turn rapper was supposedly scheduled to perform at “Pride In The District” at a local nightclub in the D.C. area on May 28. Though the rapper was not planning on attending, his team wants to clarify that he has nothing against LGBTQIA+ people.

“He never even knew of this event and none of his team or agents were ever in contact with Pride In the District. A scammer must have posed as a rep of his. Lil Baby never pulled out of anything with this as he was never booked or contacted in the first place,” his rep told The Neighborhood Talk.

The organization posted their own response to the situation on Wednesday (April 13), writing, “We have an update… Unfortunately @lilbaby was unaware of the booking and some despicable low life is out there scamming people claiming to be a booking agent.”

In other Lil Baby-related news, earlier this week, the rapper announced his headlining It’s Only Us Tour, and he’s bringing GloRilla, The Kid LAROI and more with him for the summer 2023 trek.

Baby revealed plans for the IOU Tour with a cinematic trailer shared via Instagram, which shows him relaxing in the pool when he comes up with the idea for the cross-country trek.

“This Fasho Gone Be A Highlight Of The Summer !!” the rapper wrote in the post’s caption. “I’m Bringing @thekidlaroi @rylorodriguez @glorillapimp @glittergirlgloss @hunxho !! Tickets Available Thursday ….. #staytuned #IOU #newmusicotw.”
