Lil Baby is being blamed for the death of two teenagers who were killed in Atlanta last year.

Atlanta police are linking the double murder to a triple shooting that broke out on the set of the rapper’s video shoot in May 2024.

Cops say the video sparked a gang war that led to multiple shootings and homicides, killing 13-year-olds Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman in July of that year.

Authorities believe a “high-ranking” gang rival of Baby’s ordered the hit on the two teens, who were said to be innocent, over a prison phone call in Georgia.

In a press conference on Wednesday (February 26) announcing the arrests of seven people connected to the murders, Major Ralph Woolfolk pointed the finger at Lil Baby and labeled him a “coward.”

“Lamon Freeman was allowed to be a 13 year old for 27 minutes before gang violence ultimately took his life. Gang violence that was orchestrated by adults. And the cowardly acts of an Atlanta-based rapper that decided to go over into a rival gang stronghold and shoot a music video in a place that he knew he should not have been,” he said.

Woolfolk also appeared to address Baby directly, saying: “You know who you are. And I’ll tell you that this team will work relentlessly to hold you and the persons that you are affiliated with responsible for those actions.”

There is also a $50,000 reward for anybody who has any information relating to the crimes.

Lil Baby himself was not injured in the shooting on his video set, but three men were shot and suffered wounds to the chest, arm and neck. All three survived and made full recoveries.

TMZ reported at the time that the shooting was the result of an altercation between “two unknown parties” as members of Baby’s label, Quality Control, were filming the video.

The two rival groups reportedly began firing shots after tensions escalated, resulting in bystanders being wounded.

When police arrived at the scene, paramedics were already treating two of the three gunshot victims.

The 911 call reporting the shooting was later released to the media and captured the chaos on the scene.

Lil Baby has never commented publicly on the shooting and has yet to respond to Major Ralph Woolfolk’s comments.

It was not Wham’s first brush with gunfire after shots were fired at one of his concerts in Memphis in 2023 which left a man in critical condition.

The injured party was later confirmed to be CEO Jizzle, a cousin of the late Young Dolph.
