“He need to pay me $200,000 to interview me,” Baby told the camera as the interviewer kept attempting to get him to talk. At one point, the interviewer even jokingly responded, “I got you. We’ll PayPal.”

And French isn’t the only rapper to give Lil Baby his props as of late. Back in August, T.I. shouted out the Atlanta native for his contributions to modern trap music.

“A lot of people moving the genre,” the Grand Hustle leader said. “Not even just by embodying similar qualities that I did. I think it’s a lot more conversational now.”

“Rappers, for sure,” he began. “You got motherfuckers really sitting down and taking their time out to write, you know? Good men like Lil Baby, Durk — he ain’t missing’ a beat. Y’all familiar with Don Trip? He just wrote me a letter the other day. Just got a letter from him. There’s a lot of artists that keep my name alive in many different ways.”
