LeBron James has continued to show support for Kendrick Lamar, seemingly in response to Drake taking a shot at him.

On Wednesday (February 5), LeBron hyped Kendrick’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show by posting a clip of his previous performance at the big game in 2022 as part of Dr. Dre‘s star-studded headlining set.

“He gone kill that [poo emoji]!!!! Can’t wait *Bart Scott voice,” the basketball legend wrote underneath it, referencing the former NFL player and current sports analyst.

LeBron, who was previously close friends with Drake before his beef with Kendrick erupted last year, has been on the receiving end of various jabs from the Canadian superstar of late.

During the opening show of his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia earlier this week, the 6 God made a subtle lyric change while performing “Nonstop” to take a shot at the Los Angeles Laker.

On the original 2018 track, Drizzy shouted out King James by rapping: “How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?”

But during his concert in Perth, he spat: “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man?”

Before that, Drake appeared to air out his grievances with LeBron (and possibly others including fellow NBA star DeMar DeRozan) on his song “Fighting Irish Freestyle.”

The track, the title of which nods to LeBron’s high school basketball team, seemingly found him addressing the four-time NBA champion’s support of Kendrick and appearance at his Pop Out concert last summer.

“The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets / Seemed like they loved every minute / Just know this shit is personal to us, and it wasn’t just business,” he rapped.

LBJ has yet to directly comment on the song, although he previously appeared to extend an olive branch to Drake after he was spotted at Kendrick’s aforementioned show.
