Latto is finally gearing up to drop the long-awaited Playboi Carti-assisted remix to her song, “Blick Sum.”
The original song appeared sans Carti on Latto’s 2024 album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, though his verse on the track had actually leaked before the album even arrived.

Fans then theorized that perhaps he didn’t clear his version because of the leak. But whatever the case was, the collab is now finally arriving.
With a short preview of the music video, Latto tagged Carti in a post to X and revealed the “Blick Sum” remix will be dropping on Tuesday (January 28).

The announcement arrives just days after Carti himself posted a number of pictures of him hanging out with the “Big Mama” MC, clearly indicating that something was on the way.
Along with his pictures with Latto, Playboi Carti declared 2025 to be his year.

Hopefully this means that fans will finally receive his I Am Music album, as they previously were so angered by the rapper’s failure to drop the long-awaited LP by the end of 2024 that one started a petition to ban him from streaming platforms.
The petition, which has over 8,000 signatures of this writing, reads: “Playboi Carti has consistently deceived and disappointed his loyal fanbase by making empty promises about album releases. Most recently, on December 14, 2023, he assured fans that a new album would drop in 2024.
“Since then, instead of delivering on his word, he has only shared snippets, released random tracks on YouTube and Instagram, and failed to provide the album he promised.”
It continues: “Tomorrow/Today is the last Friday of the year, the traditional release day for new music and there is still no sign of the promised project. This repeated cycle of unfulfilled commitments demonstrates a lack of respect for his fans’ time and support.

“We demand accountability. This petition calls for Playboi Carti to be banned from all music platforms until he honors his promises and demonstrates a genuine commitment to his fanbase. If artists cannot uphold the trust of their listeners, they should not be allowed to profit off their loyalty.”
Carti, whose last album Whole Lotta Red arrived in late 2020, had teased tracks from the project throughout 2024, including at his headlining set at Rolling Loud in December.
He has yet to give a concrete release date, however.
