Kurtis Blow made an appearance this morning on Washington D.C.’s FOX 5, where he performed his classic cut “Christmas Rappin’.”
The cut, originally released in 1979, served as Blow’s first song release. The track was also the first rap single ever to be released by a major label, and was included on his eponymous 1980 debut.
The 52-year-old rapper, who is now a licensed Minister, most recently released his holiday compilation album Vol. 1, Hip Hop Church, which can be purchased on iTunes here. Watch his performance and his interview below.
