The year of 2001 was a quiet one for Kool Keith, even though he released an album it was a far cry from releasing 3 the year before. One of hip hop’s hardest workers wasn’t just kicking back and relaxing (I wonder what Keith does to relax?), he was making music for a couple upcoming albums. That might be a bit of an understatement, word is he has 10(!!!!) solo albums completed.
According to hiphopsite, he has recorded each under a different alias, including cult favorite Dr Octagon (isn’t he dead?) as well as Black Elvis and Matthew. Can we get a devastating Reverand Tom LP? In addition to that he is working on a group album with H and Mark called KHM. Expect that this July on Keith’s Gamelock Records.
There is no word yet on the status of the other releases but I’m sure we will have more on that in the near future.
