The Kid LAROI is taking fans behind the scenes of his life and his rise to fame in his forthcoming documentary, KIDS ARE GROWING UP.

Set to be released on Amazon Prime on February 29, the “Stay” singer dropped a preview on Wednesday (February 21). According to a press release, the documentary explores his rapid rise “from an unknown musician living in Australia to a teenage global superstar selling out his hometown arena in three years.”

The Kid LAROI was just a young teenager when he was around Juice WRLD, but he wishes he had the perspective he does now so he could have possibly helped the late rapper.

In November, the singer joined Apple Music’s Zane Lowe to promote his new album THE FIRST TIME, and it’s here that he reflected on his time around the late rapper in 2019.

“That was big bro, but I was 15 and he was 20,” he began. “So there is a dynamic of, as a kid, you’re a fan and you’re like, now this guy I guess would be big bro. And now I get to travel everywhere and there’s just that sense of you’re kind of just happy to be there and move in with the flow.

“And one thing that I always wished I think was that I was like, damn, I wish there was in another universe I’ve met Juice now with going through what I’ve gone through and knowing what I know.”

The “Stay” artist didn’t even try to speak up since he was just grateful to be hanging with Juice and the stark age difference between them. He’s learned a ton about what Juice was going through by being in the spotlight himself the last few years.

“I wish I was able to meet him now and we were able to get on a level where I could provide some type of thing for him,” he continued. “And I think I just was never equipped to do that then. It wasn’t even an option. No one was looking to me. My take didn’t matter. Again, that was a funny thing.”

He went on: “I was like a 15-year-old kid. I’m an artist and living in bro’s house, I’m just grateful to be here and grateful to be around everything and grateful to be around these people and grateful that my life is changing. That was what I was grateful for at that time. And it’s just funny how you get older and perspectives change.”

The Kid LAROI and Juice reportedly met in early 2019 when the Chicago native was performing in Australia close to where LAROI grew up. The two were said to have been connected when the pop star got onto the radar of Juice’s manager, Peter Jideonwo.
