T-Pain has drawn the ire of Kevin Hart thanks to his apparent stinginess.

The comedian was the latest celebrity to appear on Kai Cenat‘s popular Twitch channel on Thursday (May 23) and was dismayed by a gesture from the “I’m Sprung” singer.

T-Pain, who himself is an avid streamer, was tuning into the broadcast and gifted 50 paid subscriptions to Cenat, worth around $250.

Despite Kai’s enthusiasm, Hart was less than impressed with the donation.

“How can Rainbow come in and gift 100 and T-Pain cheap ass only do 50?” he asked. “T-Pain, what the fuck was that?! I just saw it said, ‘Rainbow somebody did something 100,’ and then you came in and did 50. You cheap piece of shit, T-Pain! Do another 50!”

T-Pain isn’t as close-fisted as Kevin Hart might think, though.

Earlier this month, he announced he’s opening a music school in Wisconsin after bringing pride and joy to the state through his smash hit “Can’t Believe It,” on which he famously rhymed “mansion” with “Wiscansin.”

Speaking with Billboard, the Florida native explained that he’s planning to establish an educational institution to the Badger State, something he’d previously promised the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel back in 2023.

“I just really felt like I was André 3000 when I was recording that song,” he said of “Can’t Believe It.” “That was my spirit animal that I had on me while I was recording that song.”

He continued: “Again, that fostered the era of the ‘mansion in Wiscansin’ infamous rhyme. And since then, we’ve been really able to incorporate that into everything. […] All my tours that I go on now are Wisconsin based. We have a ‘Wiscansin University.’ All the merch is ‘Wiscansin’ based. We’re actually starting a school in Wisconsin. It’s a music school.”

Further challenging Kevin Hart’s “cheap” claim, T-Pain once famously spent $400,000 on an enormous chain that aptly featured a pendant that read “Big Ass Chain.”

However, he admitted last year that he has come to regret the purchase.

“One of my biggest regrets but I keep it around to remind myself,” T-Pain said on his Nappy Boy Radio show. “Actually now [it’s worth] probably like $200,000 at the most. Just, price just went down — the price of gold and diamonds aren’t what they used to be.

“Somebody was on the side of the stage at one of my shows and they said, ‘I bet you won’t get a big ass chain that says, ‘Big Ass Chain.’ And I said, ‘You don’t know how much fuckin money I got right now. So don’t fuckin try me.’

He continued: “I don’t know the guy, didn’t get his number, never seen him again and went and spent money on this chain to prove to this stranger that I would do it.”
