“He loves to see the people around him succeed — he’s such a creative mind. That’s all he does. He loves the foundation of creativity and is one of the most professional people I’ve worked with on set,” added the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor.

Meanwhile, the hosts joked that “he [Ice Cube] did not talk about you [Kevin Hart] like that. It was the complete opposite,” which Hart took in stride, alleging “Yeah, it’s gotta be the interview,” pointing to the possibility the questions asked of Cube were not “good.”

On the May 4 episode of Comedy Gold Minds, which is Hart’s podcast on the SiriusXM radio network, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper discussed how seeking therapy has benefitted his life overall.

“I was my own shadow, meaning I was in my own way,” he told Hart. “I had to get out of my own way. I saw that I could not control the people around me, but I could control myself. One thing that stood out for me, when I was younger – basically being a little dirty kid with nothing, no control over where I lived, what I ate, where I slept. But I had these sports – football and lacrosse – there I had control and I was good at it.”

He continued: “So I needed those little moments where I need to be in control of what goes on in my life. I had to look myself in the mirror and say, ‘I’m tired of myself.
