Kendrick Lamar Likely To Be Involved In 2028 L.A. Olympics, Organizer Says

Kendrick Lamar looks set to be involved in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, according to one of the event’s key organizers.

Casey Wasserman, who is also the rapper’s booking agent, is currently the chairman of the organizing committee for the Olympics and dropped a strong hint that Kendrick would feature in the hometown games in three years’ time.

Speaking to The Associated Press, Wasserman said: “The rebirth, the rebuild, maybe reimagining L.A. 2.0 — and the Olympics as a catalyst for all those things — we think is really part of our ethos.

“You can’t have a natural disaster at that scale in a city as big and as important as Los Angeles and not have it be part of your core philosophy going forward,” he added, referencing the wildfires that devastated the city earlier this year.

“Fortunately, in my day job I represent Kendrick Lamar. He is truly an L.A. icon so I think it would be a pretty fair bet that Kendrick will be involved in the Olympics in Los Angeles in some way.”

Wasserman did not divulge any more details, but the Olympics typically feature opening and closing ceremonies involving a large number of entertainment performances.

Case in point: Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg performed at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics last year in a symbolic handover between the French capital and Californian city.

The West Coast legends pre-taped a performance in Long Beach, California that was broadcast as part of the ceremony and featured a medley of hits including “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “The Next Episode.”

Snoop also served as a correspondent for NBC throughout the 2024 games and was well-compensated, at least according to one source.

New York-based venture capitalist Henry L. McNamara claimed on social media last year: “Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.”

    1. Maybe he can put on the worst performance there like he did for the Super Bowl. I still can’t believe that shitty ass Super Bowl show happened after I heard for so many years dude was this great live performer.

      1. @dominic dude, don’t take it personally if someone doesn’t idolize a celebrity that you do lol. Who gives a fuck…

    2. No thanks. It very presumtuous to assume the general public will still be interested in Kendrick 3.5 years from now. He will likely go back into hiding so he can enjoy white females in without judgement for being a giant hypocrite.

    3. All planned thr LA wildfires, the rebuild efforts, and now this. It’s all planned Kenny not helping you he’s screwing all of you in California this will lead to gentrification and all you people in areas like Compton will be gone for his weirdo hipster ego. He might not design the new city he’ll be the face of it so they can claim its pro black even though it benefits mostly non black rich people mostly jooz
