Kendrick Lamar has been accused of trolling Drake with his eye-catching outfit at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
At the ceremony, held in Los Angeles on Sunday night (February 2), Kendrick wore a seemingly innocuous denim jacket and jeans, along with a matching cap, black shoes and a diamond Jesus piece chain.

However, the double denim look is known as a Canadian tuxedo, which fans are speculating was a calculated dig at his fierce rival who, of course hails from north of the border.
“Damn this shit is comedy. Kendrick’s Trolling is ELITE,” one person reveled on X (formerly Twitter).

“Kendrick winning both song of the year and record of the year, off a rap beef win, a week ahead of a Super Bowl performance… presented to you by Diana Ross.. while wearing a canadian tuxedo. Idk if we’ll ever witness anything like this ever again lol,” another remarked.
Fellow rapper JPEGMAFIA was also amused by Dot’s apparent sartorial dig, writing: “LMFAO Kendrick is funny AF. He accepted his award for the greatest diss song of all time. in a CANADIAN TUXEDO.”
😈😈 The Canadian Tux.

Kendrick Lamar’s ensemble was on display for all to see at the Grammys as he graced the stage twice to accept both Song of the Year and Record of the Year, which were awarded to “Not Like Us.”
The anti-Drake anthem also took home Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video, winning all five awards it was nominated for.

It was a historic night for Kendrick as “Not Like Us” became the first diss song to win a Grammy, while he’s also just the second rapper to win both Song of the Year and Record of the Year following Childish Gambino.
While accepting the Song of the Year award, Lamar shouted out some of the West Coast rappers who inspired him in his early career, including Glasses Malone, JasonMartin (f.k.a. Problem) and fellow Black Hippies Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul.
“Nothing more powerful than rap music, I don’t care what it is,” he said. “We are the culture, it’s gon’ always stay here and live forever. And to the young artists, like my man Punch say, respect the artform. I appreciate y’all, I love y’all.”
He also dedicated his Record of the Year win to his late auntie who he revealed had passed away the day before, as well as the city of Los Angeles which was ravaged by wildfires in January.

Further salt was rubbed into Drake’s wounds at the ceremony as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and many others were seen dancing and rapping along to “Not Like Us” in the audience as Kendrick’s wins were announced.
The GNX MC is set to make more history in just a week’s time as he’ll become the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show by himself during this Sunday (February 9)’s contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
