Kendrick Lamar channeled Eminem with a clone-filled performance at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona over the weekend.

K. Dot headlined the Spanish festival on Friday night (June 2) with help from his cousin Baby Keem and a bunch of Kendrick lookalikes who danced around the stage as the duo performed the Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers song “Savior.”

The set was closed out with “Savior” as the clones filled the stage in white T-shirts, black overalls and sunglasses. The robotic doppelgängers danced in unison and waved to the crowd without uttering a word.

Of course, fans had plenty to say about the clones closing out the show as footage of the performance went viral.

“The tiktok conspiracy theorists are about to have a field day with this one,” one person commented on a Lamar fan page on Instagram, while another said: “Y’all remember the facial AI he did on the heart? Yeahhhhh.”

Kendrick’s Primavera routine may have been a nod to Eminem’s iconic performance at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, where he was followed around by dozens of bleach-blond doppelgängers inside New York City’s Radio City Music Hall while performing “The Real Slim Shady.”

K. Dot has made no secret of the fact that the Detroit rap icon is one of his biggest influences, telling GQ in 2016: “I got my clarity just studying Eminem when I was a kid. How I got in the studio was all just curiosity. I had a love for the music, but it was curiosity.”

He added: “The day I heard The Marshall Mathers LP, I was just like, How does that work? What is he doing? How is he putting his words together like that? What’s the track under that? An ad-lib? What is that? And then, Why don’t you go in the studio and see? So I do that.

“Then it became, How are his words cutting through the beat like that? What is he doing that I’m not doing, now that I’m into it? His time is impeccable. When he wants to fall off the beat, it’s impeccable. These are things that, through experience and time, I had to learn.”

Kendrick Lamar will continue to trek through the Mediterranean for the Primavera Sound tour with performances in Porto, Portugal and Madrid, Spain later this week.

The Compton rap deity has kept busy on the music side in recent weeks as he hopped on the remix to Beyoncé’s “America Has a Problem” and teamed up with Baby Keem for the Drake-esque “The Hillbillies.”
