Kelly Rowland has sounded off on rumors that there’s a Destiny’s Child reunion on the horizon.

Appearing on the Atlanta radio station V-103 to promote her new movie Mea Culpa, the singer was questioned about a potential reunion of the superstar girl group on Beyoncé‘s forthcoming album Renaissance Act III.

However, Rowland didn’t seem too pleased about the question.

After host Big Tigger mentioned rumors that the album “may be either rock based or a [Destiny’s Child] reunion,” the 43-year-old replied: “That is her business to talk about, not mind” before winking.

When pressed by co-host Jazzy McBee for a straightforward response, Kelly playfully yet firmly steered the conversation back to her movie: “Just ask them. I’m here to talk about Mea Culpa.”

While Beyoncé has not yet officially announced Renaissance Act III, previous reports indicated that the project would be a full-length collaboration with her husband JAY-Z.

“Before Twitter goes down, instead of making you follow me somewhere else, I’ll just tell you what I’ve heard about the other 2 acts of Beyonce’s 3-part ‘Renaissance’ project,” The New York Times pop culture reporter Kyle Buchanan tweeted in November 2022. “(2nd act is an acoustic album, 3rd act is a collaboration with Jay-Z).”

Before the arrival of Renaissance Act I that same year, Bey confirmed the album was the first in a trilogy.

“This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative,” she wrote on her website. “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.

“It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

While it remains to be seen whether a Destiny’s Child reunion will ever happen, the group excited fans last month when all five members appeared in a photo together for the very first time.
