Keke Palmer and her boyfriend Darius Jackson have welcomed their first child together and announced the birth of a baby boy named Leodis Andrellton Jackson.

Keke announced her son’s birth on Monday (February 27) and shared a few photos of their bundle of joy. She also explained to her Instagram followers what it has been like being new parents for the past 48 hours.

“Hey Son!!!” Keke wrote. “1. Only 48hrs of being parents! 2. Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, ‘Someone’ by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God! 3. The baby love Rolling Ray, cause purrr. 4. ‘I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.’ Hahaha 5. I’m just playing, my baby face is on this slide.”

She then revealed her son’s name, joking: “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”

Palmer previously confirmed rumors of her pregnancy during her Saturday Night Live hosting debut last December.

“There’s some rumors going around. People have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby,’ ‘Keke’s pregnant.’ And I want to set the record straight. I am,” she said in her opening monologue before revealing her baby bump.

Keke then appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and accidentally revealed that she and her partner were expecting a son by speaking on his possible astrological signs.

Keke Palmer, who was recently crowned Best Supporting Actress by the New York Film Critics Circle for her role as Emerald in Jordan Peele’s Nope, will soon star alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in the forthcoming film Super Toys.
