Despite previous reports saying Kanye West’s father was diagnosed with stomach cancer, TMZ is reporting Ray West is actually battling prostate cancer.
According to the outlet, Ray is being treated in Los Angeles and looks to be on the way to to recovery.
His famous son reportedly dropped everything and is focused on helping his father heal.

Kanye West’s father, Ray West, is reportedly ill. Radar Online spoke to ‘Ye’s former stepmother Cheryl Carmichael West, who confirmed he’s battling stomach cancer.
“His dad is sick with stomach cancer,” Carmichael West said. “He’s getting treatment and from what I understand the treatments are working.”
She revealed Ray was diagnosed last spring.
‘Ye’s father was reportedly spotted recently during a father-son sushi outing at Nobu in Malibu, California. The outlet described him as looking thin and tired.
The G.O.O.D. Music boss lost his mother, Dr. Donda West, in 2007 following cosmetic surgery. Her death is often cited as one of the reasons for his mental breakdown in 2016.
