In the ongoing saga of Kanye West and Twitter, the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind has now set his sights on former NFL player Colin Kaepernick. On Wednesday (October 3), YE tweeted he wants Kaepernick to have a discussion with Donald Trump.
“Reaching out to Colin Kaepernick,” he wrote. “I would like you to speak with the president to tell him your experience directly. Let’s have a dialogue not a diatribe.”
YE’s alignment with 45 has caused a slew of controversy over the past couple of years. Most recently, Kanye donned the infamous MAGA hat during his appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and went on a pro-Trump rant following the show.
Kaepernick, who has become a symbol of social justice since he first kneeled during the National Anthem, has yet to respond publicly to YE’s request. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]

decades of blind loyalty voting democrat and black people are still in the ghettos. under trump we have the lowest rate of black unemployment in the history of our nation. trump has freed more slaves than any other president since lincoln (1,500 – look it up if you don’t believe it). by every measure he’s been nothing but good positive change for the black community. like floyd mayweather said, no one was out here calling him racist until he decided to run for president. kanye just wants people to think for themselves and form their own opinions instead of doing what’s expected of them (like voting for democrats just because you’re black). funny how democrats and liberals in general act tolerant, but try to destroy any black person that doesn’t fall in line with what’s expected of them.

To answer your questions in order… Yes. No, I vote for whichever candidate whose message and policies I agree with most. This is where I genuinely feel bad for black people. The powers that be have tricked you into oppressing yourselves. There’s no pressure amongst white people to vote for the same damn party in every election. In the black community though, you’re all expected to think and act the same and if you don’t, you eat each other. As for your last question, I don’t know. What I do know is that every city on every top ten list with the worst drug problem, highest violent crime rates, worst poverty and worst education all have Democrats as mayors. All of them. You talk a lot about foolishness yet you keep voting for the same thing thinking anything will change. It never occurred to you maybe trying something new would be a good idea?

Actually this one is a good idea. People can’t change anything unless they communicate with each other and learn to see things from other perspectives. There’s plenty of reasons to dislike Kanye but this isn’t one of them.
I understand what you’re saying BUT in order for there to even be communication, the other party has to be WILLING to listen. And 45 has demonstrated time and time again that he will not. Oh, he’ll sit there for a photo-op but that’s about it. People do a lot of talking but when it actually comes down to putting those words into action, that’s a different story. I say Colin K. should not waste his time with ole buddy or 45. The last thing I remember is Colin is “a son of a bitch”.

I like the idea of speaking with the president to enact change but Trump has repeatedly attacked Colin publicly for cheap political points. Ye acts like Kap has been attacking Trump and it’s a back and forth situation when, in reality, it’s a completely one sided attack. Also Trump is the same president that wants to bring back Stop and Frisk plus advocated for officers to treat criminals rough. Having a dialogue with an unreasonable person seems fruitless.
Simply put, this would be a waste of time.

Great idea Kanye because grievances of the oppressed have never been communicated to the powers that be before. And why should an oppressed group communicate grievances to a group who has implements and upholds the plan to oppress said group? I’m sure activists for any of the many oppressed factions in our country have met with leaders to settle grievances before but to no avail. I’m sure Martin Luther King met to discuss grievances and well we know the rest.
All I hear is Kanye wants Kap to meet. But what does Kap want? Colin Kaepernick has been working behind the scen es for his cause. Kanye hasbeen begging for days for them to meet. I am sure Kap is aware and doesn’t want to be bothered. Leave the man alone and show some.respect.
