Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have finally released the first installment of their joint project, though it keeps disappearing and reappearing on the most popular streaming platforms.
On Friday (February 9), right around when the duo was having their listening party in New York City, Vultures 1 went live on Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal, but not Spotify.
However, as of 2:25 PM ET on Saturday (February 10), Vultures 1 now appears on Spotify, where it remains as of this writing.
Several hours after the project appeared on Spotify, there were reports from fans that it had vanished from Apple Music, though it appears there as of this writing.
As of now, it is unclear why the 16-track package didn’t initially made its way to Spotify, and fans weren’t too thrilled about it.
“If Spotify blocks it/doesn’t allow Ye to release it on their platform, I am leaving,” one person wrote on a Reddit thread about the inconsistency, while another added: “Spotify stay on some bs with new releases, but I love the music algorithm too much. Might have to get a one-time Apple Music subscription though.”
HipHopDX has reached out to Spotify for clarification, but did not receive immediate response.
In related news, Ozzy Osbourne recently took to social media to blast Kanye West for using a Black Sabbath sample against his wishes.
Earlier this week, the 75-year-old vocalist sent out a PSA soon after Ye and Ty’s album listening event in Chicago’s United Center, during which the duo previewed a song that featured a cut from the group’s live rendition of “Iron Man” despite, Ozzy said, having been refused permission.
In the post, the Birmingham native wrote: “.@KANYEWEST ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘IRON MAN’ FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN.”
Upon catching wind of the post, the Yeezy boss took to his Instagram Stories to suggest that a “celebrity handler” must have sent out the tweet via Osbourne’s account.
In the post, the “Bound 2” hitmaker pointed out that even the heavy metal pioneer and wife Sharon Osbourne dressed as up as West and Bianca Censori for Halloween last year.
No one moves the Culture like YE. No one puts on a Concert Event like YE. No one has been more innovative in Fashion than YE. If YE tweets out he’s performing in Iceland tomorrow, 500k fans showing up. If YE says he dropping new Yeezys tomorrow, the website gonna crash. We gotta really sit back and acknowledge this man is the most influential person in our lifetime. I appreciate the fact that he takes risk with his music. Ye albums never sounds the same. If YE really wanted to play the game, he could drop 10 MBDTF, Late registration or Graduation. YE marches to his own beat. That’s what being a true artist is about.
take ye dick out your mouth. he’s a punk bitch who made a couple good beats on an MPC. now trying to ruin it for everyone else. he’s a clown and anyone following him is going to find out what happens when you follow an idiot off a cliff. fixed it for you.
A couple good beats? Cmon man, the hate is oozing across my screen. Common – Be? Common – Finding Forever? Pusha T – Daytona? Watch the throne? BluePrint? I can go on for hours.
I could do any of those records in two minutes if I had full access to the Isley Bros catalogue. you clowns know nothing. worshipping ye is a joke
Whatever you say shlomo.
See this is what Ye brings to rap. this is what ye brought to the block. all because he has no real musical or artistic talent to speak of. How about just play us a simple song on acoustic guitar if you are such a big genius ye? I bet if you could do that it wouldn’t be any bondage mask and dictator boots on
So you one of those clowns who didn’t make it and walk around Blaming “The Man” for your failures. Sounds pretty pathetic if you ask me.
Ye is the one not making it. The problem is you think we want to be where he is.
This is actually surprisingly good. Way better than I imagined it would be. I expected horrible garbage. The track with Gibbs is fire.
