Kanye West is allegedly plotting his return to Twitter after having his X account reinstated last month.
According to Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino, Kanye is gearing up to make his return to Twitter after being unsuspended.

Yaccarino was pressed about letting Kanye back into the fold after violating Twitter’s code of conduct in a Spaces discussion on Thursday (August 10) where she defended the company’s stance on freedom of expression.
“Kanye who hasn’t rejoined the platform yet but is planning to do so will operate within the very specific policies that we have established that we’re clear on and everyone listening on Spaces can access themselves,” she said.

“And we have an extraordinary team of people who are overseeing hands-on keyboards monitoring all day every day to make sure that 99.99 percent of impressions remain at that number.”
Yaccarino continued: “We also have to remember what’s at the core of free expression. You might not agree with what everyone’s saying.

“We want to make it a healthy debate and discourse but free expression at it’s core will really only survive when someone you don’t agree with says something you don’t agree with… So deciding certain people are good or bad are not a universal thing.”
Yeezy was welcomed back to Twitter on July 30 before being suspended briefly and reinstated with a gold checkmark, which is reserved for verified organizations. He is yet to make his first tweet after clearing his account’s history.
Ryan Mac, a tech reporter for The New York Times, claimed that the company chose to give West a gold checkmark because “Ye” is the rapper’s company.
“The company tells me that Kanye’s account has a gold check because it views “Ye” as Kanye West’s overall brand,” he tweeted on July 29. “It’s unclear if he will run ads, but as a gold checkmark verified organization, he has the ability to do so.”
Musk didn’t issue a statement on his official Twitter account, but West was last suspended back in December 2022 after he tweeted out a picture of a swastika inside a Star of David.

Elon Musk — who acquired Twitter for $44 billion back in October — considers himself a “free speech absolutist,” but decided that Ye’s tweet violated the company’s policies.
“I tried my best,” Musk tweeted in response to a fan asking him to “fix” Kanye. “Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”
