The Kanye West story seems like it will never end. After storming the stage to protest his loss in the best video category this past weekend, Kanye is now offering an explanation for his actions.
West, who has been known for nearly as much for his out bursts as his music, blames the incident on alcohol, or as he called it, “sippy sippy.”
“I had a little sippy sippy,”
he confessed to MTV UK correspondent Tim Kash. West also said he planned to drink more later on.If the on stage antics weren’t enough, Kanye continued at the press conference after the show: “I
haven’t seen [the Justice vs. Simian video]. Possibly it could have
been quite good, but no way better than ‘Touch the Sky.’ That is
complete bulls**. I paid a million. Obviously it’s not all about the
money, but the response it got transcended everything, it really made
great TV. It took a month to film; I stood on a mountain; I flew a
helicopter over Vegas. I did it to be the king of all videos and I
wanted to walk home with that award.”
