Juvenile has addressed Turk‘s controversial departure from the Hot Boys reunion tour.
According to Turk, he was dismissed from the tour after he refused to take a pay cut after the concerts were struggling to sell tickets.
Speaking to TMZ, Juvie said that the decision had nothing to do with him.
He explained: “It’s kind of out of my control, that one there. The people that pay us, the higher-ups, made a decision. It puts me in an awkward position because I’m the one who actually fought for my guy to be on the tour. I got a new project coming out, and I want to make sure I give the fans a show. The people who paid for these tickets. So I got to go through with it, right?”
Juvie added: “I hate for negative things to happen. I’m one of those positive guys, I like things to stay positive. I don’t even really know what his contract [or] his business was on it, I don’t know how it went. I was confused just like you, man.”
According to Turk, he was taken off the tour after he refused to take a pay cut with organizers subsequently blaming his issues with B.G..
Turk wrote on Instagram: “The same day I rejected less than what was owed, I got hit with a bogus termination notice. Instead of admitting they couldn’t pay fairly, they labeled me a threat.”
The rapper then posted screenshots of emails which said he had been dismissed from the tour because of his issues with group member B.G. which have included various social media rows.
Turk then made it clear that he intended to initiate legal action against “all parties” involved in removing him from the tour.
Since the Hot Boys reunited last year, turmoil has followed the group but they did manage to announce a reunion tour even though Lil Wayne has missed several dates.
Birdman also appeared to fall asleep while performing with the group earlier this year.
In February, a bizarre video went viral of the Cash Money mogul stood motionless on stage with his head down for over 15 seconds during a show with Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. and Turk.
