Juvenile is quite flattered that Kanye West used “Back That Azz Up” on his new album with Ty Dolla $ign.
The interpolation appears on the Vultures 1 cut “Do It,” which also features YG and the late Nipsey Hussle. Unlike a few other artists who were less than pleased about having their songs used on the project, Juvie is all the way here for it.

“I give everybody a chance, man, and Kanye’s a good dude,” he told TMZ on Tuesday (March 5). “He’s actually one of those cats when we released the Juvie, Wacko and Skip album that showed a whole lot of support. So it’s one of those situations. I’m kind of flattered that the guy chose me to sample my music. It’s how you look at it.”
He continued: “With me, I try to keep things on the positive, especially with the new artists and the ones that came after me. I’m flattered Drake done sampled my music too and I treated him the same way. It’s all love with me.”

When asked if any of Kanye’s controversies entered into his decision to allow the song’s use, he said, “Nah, not with me. I don’t get into what everybody else get into. I kinda like to stay in my own world and stay out the way.”
Last month, Ozzy Osbourne sent out a PSA after hearing that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign previewed a song featuring elements of a live performance of Black Sabbath’s 1970 track, “Iron Man.”
In the post, Osbourne wrote: “. @KANYEWEST ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “IRON MAN” FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN.”

Upon catching wind of the tweet, Ye took to his Instagram Stories to speculate that a “celebrity handler” must have sent out the tweet via Osbourne’s account, pointing to the fact that, while the rock legend claimed to want “no association,” he and wife Sharon Osbourne dressed as West and Bianca Censori for Halloween last year.
However, weeks later, Osbourne spoke out again and made clear that he had no regrets about taking West to task.
“With the current state of affairs, you don’t need anybody starting people on discrimination of any kind,” he told Rolling Stone, referring to West’s ongoing antisemitic comments. “It’s wrong. It’s just wrong.”
Osbourne continued: “There’s enough fucking aggravation, and he shouldn’t say anything [like what he has]. It’s wrong if you don’t say anything about him. I don’t want any of my work in any shape or form to be associated with anything like that.”

Osbourne’s wife, Sharon — who is of Jewish descent — also told the outlet that the pair were considering “legal action” against Kanye West.
According to TMZ, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign also failed to receive permission from the Backstreet Boys to sample their anthem “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” for their song of nearly the same name. The song did not make it to Vultures 1, but may be in the works for the next installments.
