Juvenile has sent fans in a frenzy after he announcing that he’s contemplating doing a 25th anniversary show in New York for his third album 400 Degreez.

On Friday (June 16), the New Orleans rapper took to Twitter to awaken the curiosity of his loyal supporters in the Big Apple and beyond while also promoting his new “Juvie Juice” which is his new brand of hard iced tea alcohol.

“New York City!!! If me and my band popped up to do a 25th Anniversary of 400 Degreez celebration and officially launch Juvie Juice in the big Apple … y’all coming? And where should it be?” he asked.

There was a mixed reaction from fans with some all for his grand gesture in their hometown while others wanted him to show up in their respective location. “Yea we coming and it should be in Brooklyn,” one fan said, while another added: “Nah come to Cali, specifically the bay fr lolol.”

Juvenile had a number of big singles on 400 Degreez, but the lead single, “Back That Azz Up,” has become a generational record that’s played at clubs and other venues and spaces across the world still to this day.

Recently, the former Hot Boy announced that he’s about to “Set It Off” at Essence Fest later this summer, after previously calling out the much-beloved festival for snubbing him.

“Hip-Hop 50 without Juvie? Not a chance. June 30th, NOLA we live!” he wrote. “#ESSENCEFEST #ESSENCEFEST2023 #EFOC2023.” Fans can get tickets here.

Juvenile, however, didn’t always have something positive to say about the festival, as it had previously snubbed him from their “The South Got Something To Say” set — a nod-and-wink to OutKast‘s now-legendary 1995 Source Awards speech — which is being curated by Jermaine Dupri.

Artists including Big BoiGucci ManeLil JonLudacris, and T.I. were listed — but Juve was visibly absent from the lineup, and he was not happy about it.

“How is essence doing 50 years of hip hop in New Orleans without me???” the former Cash Money hitmaker asked on Twitter last week.

Prior to his now-settled dispute with Essence, it was revealed that he would be doing his own NPR Tiny Desk concert after fans campaigned for the New Orleans rapper to be on the hit series. He has since recorded the performance alongside Mannie Fresh, and fans are just now waiting on a release date — check out a behind-the-scenes clip here.

In related news, Juvenile was recently honored by the state of Louisiana for his contributions to Hip Hop at the 2023 Legislative Session in Washington D.C. The recognition was spearheaded by Louisiana Representative Troy Carter who told Juvenile, “May you always encourage everyone to Back That Azz Up.”
