Just Blaze Talks Creating “No Love” With Eminem & Lil Wayne

Just Blaze is no stranger to making chart-topping singles, but few have boasted the star power of the Eminem and Lil Wayne collabo “No Love.” The latest single from Recovery (check the new video), features the liberal use of Haddaway’s 90’s hit “What Is Love.” While speaking to Vibe, Just says he knew the sample would upset some fans and talks about how the single was created.

The New Jersey native also produced “Cold Wind Blows,” “You’re Never Over” and the iTunes only bonus “Session One” featuring Slaughterhouse on Recovery.

      1. who gives a fuck if em collabs with wayne? shit is guaranteed to sound hot anyway. two of the biggest names in the rap game ffs.

get off the wayne hate bandwagon and just enjoy the music for it is.

      1. Shut the fuck up, bitch ass nigga.

Em and Wayne feature is one of the best sounding tracks rite now…shits all over your favorite niggaz in the rap game.

    1. ay check this out Alex sayin wayne is trash is saying U dont like rap..bitch ass boy how u gon say how can em stand bein in the same room wit trash like wayne when em has his self says wayne is 1 of the greatese..lmao youd do better to jus say U dont like wayne sayin he trash is nothing but lying to yourself it probably hurt yo soul eveytime U hear wayne killn shit on the radio lmao fuck boy wayne da shit…..em da shit….and U kno this mannnnnn

    2. Listen I’m with most hip hop heads, in that I think Wayne is wack as f*ck 99% of the time. He actually had some DECENT lines in this song, but still can’t stand his voice/flow.

Is Em as good as 97-2003 Em? Of course not, but look what dude went through from 04-08. Almost overdosed and died twice, best friend of 20 yrs murdered in 06, divorced wife (HS sweetheart) twice in 2 yr period, and he admitted he’s had to “learn how to rap again”. I think for a 2010 mainstream album, it’s solid, but compared to his first 3 classics it’s not near that level…

Dope Lyricists like Em, Nas, Jada, Kweli (did a song with GUCCI who is even worse than wayne, much worse if that’s possible), Jay-Z (not DOPE anymore, but a legend like him or not), have all done joints with Lil Wayne. I guess b-c he’s the “BIG NAME” in rap post 2005 they think they have to link up with him to sell? I don’t get that.

Carter II is decent, rest of his sh*t is avg AT BEST (usually the definition of WACK)

You really think Em TRUELY thinks Lil wayne is dope? NO WAY IN HELL. He knows it makes him more money to say that. He said Asher fuc*kin roth was dope. B-C he’s on INTERSCOPE. I do miss the days where Em just said “Fu*k the world” and was more blunt, but he’s 38 (this month) and has a new perspective on life I guess.

Deep down I know he thinks ppl like Royce, Buddens, Crooked I, Ortiz, Elzhi, Louis Logic, Juice, One Be Lo, Diabolic, Kool G Rap, Pharoahe Monch, Jada, Masta Ace, Black Thought, Blackstarr, Common, Nas are killing dudes like Wayne, but the machine is so big now ppl like Em, nas, Jada, Jay-Z (my least fav of those 4 fyi) say “lil wayne and drake are tight.” NO HE’S NOT!

      1. I co-sign for the most part. I agree, em isn’t as good as he once was, but true artists mature and grow throughout their career. Who knows, maybe if he was still that slim shady/fuck the world character from early 1999/2000, people would eventually grow tired. Eminem can’t still be clowning on celebs at 38. I think it takes time for an eminem album to grow on you. I think Recovery is on par with eminem show, but people will really appreciate it years later down the road. I also think Eminem worked with wayne not because wayne is “money” but to prove that he could rap circles around the so-called “hottest” mc in the game. For eminem to prove that, that must make him the best, right? Maybe that was his logic, but it also made his fanbase bigger. But yea, slaughterhouse is definitely killing lil wayne, so is lupe and J cole IMO…

    3. i don’t know what the fcuk ya’ll talking about cuz clearly wayne’s verse lyrically kills eminem’s verse but it seems everyone love to hate that nikka maybe because he makes all types of music.. for some reason everyone always hate on wayne because he doesn’t stay on topic.. well, the funny part is that in this song wayne is the one who stayed on topic.. how many times eminem is going to rap about how good is he but spitting it in a different way?? this song was about no love, how the f are you going to rap about how good are you for most of your verse except the last 4 bars??.. wayne came in with killer bars back to back with broken bars flow which is everyone seem to overlook it.. i don’t give a f how fast eminem’s rap.. eminem had too much filler lines.. anyway i don’t usually comment but people who think they know what hip hop is, and hate on a nikka for some wack asz reason get on my fuking nerves.. bar for bar? wayne murders him.. flow wise? eminem murders him.. good music? yes.. shut the f up and enjoy it..

      1. Look weezys verse is DOPE but too say eminem went off topic…. he destroyed the track…. while he was rapping he actually showed “No love” too the haters n people that passed on him… But wanye got circles rapped around him…

      2. wtf are you talking about lil wayne raps about the same shit all the time… eminem raps about everything. i love them both though but youre wrong. eminem was far superior than lil wayne in this song. lil wayne is bascially talking in the first half of the verse then he picks his rhythm up later

      3. u gotta be kidding me… lyrically???
WHO THE FUCK CANNOT MAKE SIMPLE METAPHORS???… did u listen to the Eminem verse as a whole??? punchlines u gotta think about, that is called complixity, and why does Lil Wayne always have to bring his fake ass blood shit in every gotdamn song??? smh u stupid… go listen to Gaga or somethin

      1. yea and Em’s verse blows Wayne’s out of the water so maybe Wayne should try spending 1 or 2 weeks on his verse next time

    4. Wow…I didn’t even know Just did that beat…I bought Recovery maybe a month ago and just listened to it 2 days ago..I was amazed! This song stuck out to me because I produce so it was ill to hear that sample flipped. I’m not a fan of Wayne but he absolutely caught a body on this joint! Em as usual destroyed it! This IMO is his best album to date! BTW Just Blaze best hip-hop producer ever! Period! #FightMe!

    5. I’m buying this hard copy. I bought it digital which is why I didn’t know Just produced this. To everybody sayin Em isn’t as good as he used to be you’re on dust! Em is better than ever! As soon as he signed Slaughterhouse I noticed he sharpened his skills. ’11 is gonna be the year of the SLAUGHTER/SHADY take over!

    6. Weezy’s verse in this song is probably the most on-point he’s been for the past few years. I like Wayne, though…he just manages to stay on topic for once, which is a bonus. Oh, and stop saying Em is just working with Weezy F for the money, the two of them have collaborated together for “Forever” and “Drop the World” in the past year. The two have a real chemistry.

    7. everyone has to have a say on who they love and hate. I’m not gonna compare any of them, I’m just gonna say that they are both great and this track is a beast!!! Also… can anyone maybe think that lil wayne’s verse is smaller because it is eminem’s song featuring lil wayne… seriously think about it. If you are still in high school and just hating to hate, I can forgive you. you don’t know any better, most of you don’t know to think for yourself and to just express your own likes.
