Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial has taken another turn as a potential juror was sentenced to three days behind bars for filming court proceedings.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chief Judge Ural Glanville sentenced a prospective juror to three days in jail during Monday’s hearing (April 3) for repeatedly filming court proceedings with her cellphone.

“I went through a very long and arduous process of telling people what they could not do and you violated that,” the judge told the unidentified juror 1004. “And you put this trial in jeopardy by doing that.”
After clearing up that it was a personal video and not live-streamed on social media, the woman juror pleaded her case that she deleted the evidence quickly, but Judge Glanville didn’t want to hear any of it.
“It wasn’t live-streamed at all,” the juror said. “I did take a video and then the young lady next to me said I couldn’t do that.”
However, Judge Glanville spared the potential juror by opting against an additional $1,000 fine on top of the three-day sentence.
“You pulled out your phone and videotaped our proceedings so that was a direct violation of this court’s order so I’m gonna sentence you to three days in jail and that will otherwise satisfy your contempt,” he continued.

“It was a brazen violation of these particular proceedings. I told you not to — if you just left your purse in your pocket you would not even put yourself in this particular predicament.”
The surprised juror was then handcuffed and escorted out by court deputies in front of 14 other defendants and their legal teams.
Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial has been draped in controversy and this isn’t the first issue the case has seen when it comes to the lengthy jury selection process.
Another potential juror made headlines in January when she had been ordered to write a 30-page essay after skipping jury duty in favor of a vacation to the Dominican Republic, per AJC.

Close to 600 residents of Fulton County have been summoned for jury duty. If chosen, they will be tasked with deciding Thugger’s fate, along with the 13 members of his YSL crew. Thug has been behind bars since May 2022 and the trial itself could last up to a year.
