Joe Budden Invites Stephen A. Smith Onto His Podcast To Settle Long-Running Debate

Joe Budden has extended an invitation to Stephen A. Smith to show off his debating prowess and join him for an upcoming episode of his podcast.

Earlier this week, Budden offered an open invite to Stephen A. after the ESPN personality reacted to hearing JB ride withLeBron James over Michael Jordan in the age-old basketball G.O.A.T. debate in a years-old clip.

“Open invite, Stephen A., whenever you want to come sit on either one of these fine couches,” the former Slaughterhouse MC said on The Joe Budden Podcast. “Let’s embrace debate.”

He added: “Stephen A., I would love to have that debate with you. And unfortunately for you, I’m way more armed in that debate today than I was whenever you heard that clip.”

Stephen A. Smith gladly accepted the invite via Twitter on Tuesday (May 30) and said he’ll eventually join the show once he finds time in his busy schedule when the NBA Finals wrap up in June.

“My Brother, I will happily accept that invitation,” the Queens, New York native wrote. “Nothing but love for you and your show. Just let me get through these Finals. The second I have time this Summer, I’ll gladly accept your invite. See you soon, Bro!”

Fans were excited at the idea of Stephen A. Smith clashing with Joe Budden on a future episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

“This will be if the not biggest one of the biggest viewed/listened podcast of all time IMO,” one fan replied on Twitter.

“2 of the most argumentative debaters is just good content and the topic is such a hot button that the only way y’all mess this up is the conversation is to short. Make it happen!”

Another added: “Nah this Joe Budden Stephen A link up is gonna be legendary = now I’m waiting on this bit like a movie trailer just dropped!”

Budden has actually appeared on ESPN’s First Take in the past and is an avid sports fan with his rooting interests lying with the New York Giants and New York Knicks when it comes to football and hoops.

Stephen A. Smith did a press run earlier this year to promote his Straight Shooter memoir, so it’s only right he stops by The Joe Budden Podcast at some point this summer when his schedule eases up.

    1. Nobody and I mean NOBODY wants to hear Hoe Buddens ridiculous sports takes. Overall, Bron is a better all around player than Jordan but if I was starting a team my 1st pick would be Jordan over Bron and definitely I’d take Jordan over Bron in a game 7 scenario.
