Joe Budden is not here for Drake trying to throw shots at him – as he feels a beef with the OVO star is not even worth his time at this point.
In a flurry of posts to his Finsta page this week, Drizzy trolled Joe with a video of the New Jersey native smoking a cigarette while getting out of a car with Lil Wayne‘s “Let It All Work Out” playing. He captioned it “$$$HITTING MEEEEEE.”
Budden was not having it, and quickly replied on his eponymous podcast later that day.
“Drake, don’t shoot at me now that you ice cold,” he barked. “I’m not doing a back and forth with a corpse. I wanted to do it when you was lit. It was fun. Don’t go get shot all through the year and then pop up like Bernie at Weekend At Bernie’s wanting to shoot at me now. No.”

He continued: “99 n-ggas done jumped on your ass. You out smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me. Go get your fucking lick back. Fucking bitch.”

Joe Budden and Drake have had an up and down relationship over the years that has seen them trade shots both in the studio and on social media.

Their on-again, off-again rift reignited in 2023 when Budden trashed Drizzy’s For All the Dogs album, claiming that he was “rapping for the children” and “still fucking 25-year-olds.”
In response, the 6 God hit back by claiming that the rapper-turned-podcaster had “failed at music.”
“[Y]ou switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to screw up their face to Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you are the goat,” he wrote in a scathing Instagram comment.
“[Please] to any artist that’s doing what they feel is right don’t let these opinions affect your mindset after the fact…this guy is the poster child of frustration and surrendering. If you need it put in simpler terms, I own a 767…he owns a modest house in the 973 and flies first class on special occasions.”

Talking to Lupe Fiasco on X Spaces back in July, the topic of hating Drizzy came up and Joe set the record straight.
Lupe said: “You hate Drake, I know,” to which Budden responded: “No, but it’s from love and you hate Kendrick from love.”
