Joe Budden has said he doesn’t usually interview rappers on his podcast because he never wanted to be forced to rely on guests to pull in viewers.
Budden sat down for an interview with Rap Radar podcast and noted that he mainly doesn’t interview rappers because his fellow rap podcasters such as N.O.R.E. and others will get upset if he pulls them into the Joe Budden orbit.

“I’ll still interview a rapper or two,” Budden said at one point. “I’m just not gonna make it how y’all will make it. There’s not too many of them that I wanna pedestal. I don’t really fuck with all that, so.”
He continued, “I was too scared to rely on anything. I didn’t wanna have to rely on guests. I was never that well-liked…but the people that come and fuck with me, I have a relationship with them or somebody really, really close to me. Other then that, n-ggas be trying to pop up…but listen, I like that there are so many places for rappers to go. Cause I don’t wanna talk to them but I certainly wanna hear from them and hear more about them.”
The comments come shortly after Budden and Gillie Da Kidd reignited their long-simmering feud last month when Budden hilariously took shots at Gillie about not living the baller lifestyle he’s portraying for having a headboard covering a small window in his bedroom.
“I turn the fuck up when I’m feeling good in here,” he barked on The Joe Budden Podcast while Rick Ross’ chest-pounding “I’m Not a Star” played in the background. “I don’t wanna hear none of that money talk from you n-ggas.
“Your headboard is covering a very small window in your primary bedroom! I can tell it’s not like that! Stop fucking playing with me.”
The former Slaughterhouse rapper then clowned the Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-hosts for reportedly sharing a hotel room together.

“I know n-ggas keep waiting on me to kill Gillie and Wallo for sharing a hotel room,” Budden said on his podcast at the time. “They posted it and they be in the same room.”
Budden continued: “Nah, they both in the bed. There’s nothing wrong. N-ggas can’t even say facts no more without it looking shady as hell.”
