Joe Budden rarely lets his guard down, but his girlfriend is among the few people who has a disarming effect on him.
On Tuesday (July 18), the podcast host celebrated his anniversary with Shadée Monique in a heartfelt Instagram post. Though the couple have yet to tie the knot, they have been going strong for four years.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!” the former Slaughterhouse MC wrote. “4 years of love, vibes, fun, firsts, dinners, ‘babe order me this on Amazon’, long talks, stress relief, support, companionship, friendship, FaceTimes, strip clubs, ‘lemme get that blackhead’, playlist sharing (my love language), therapy, resisting therapy, breakthroughs in therapy (lol), sharing secrets (& tea [crossed arms emoji]), learning each other, vacations, searching for new shows, ‘put your leg on me’, ‘how this look on me?’ And some other things that i won’t go into [peeking emoji, weeping emoji].”
He continued: “I sleep better with you/ I awake better with you/ You get me. (& don’t play about me lol)/ I love you babe, thank you and Happy Anniversary!!! [feeling-loved emoji, burning-heart emoji, heart-eyed emoji]!”
As for other people’s relationships, Budden recently joined the conversation about the Keke Palmer and Usher drama. The “Pump It Up” rapper took to his eponymous podcast earlier this month and expressed that he didn’t understand what all the fuss was about in the first place.
“Keke Palmer took her little hot ass. She took her grown adult hot ass to Vegas with a little see-through sequence ass-out outfit,” he said. “I’ma light the streets up tonight. She left her man home. Left lunch money on the end table.”
He continued: “She said ‘Yo dog, I’m out.’ He was like, ‘Well, babe we didn’t even talk yet. Where you going?’ ‘I’ll text you where I’m going you mud ass, n-gga. I left a couple dollars over there for you. Feed the cat and the dog. Make sure you do the chores. Keep the dishes washed.’”
Budden himself doesn’t really have a problem with Usher as the Confessions singer serenaded Monique during a Las Vegas show back in April.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Usher belted out “There Goes My Baby” and took Budden’s significant other by the hand, who danced along with him as audience members behind the happy couple screamed with joy.
Ever the gentleman, Usher made sure to show Joe Budden some love before singing to his lady.
