Jin and Wyclef Jean have reunited for an updated version of “Learn Chinese,” 20 years after first getting together for the 2003 single.

The famed battle rapper shared the moment on his Instagram on Saturday (January 28), with Clef playing the guitar as Jin spit bars.

“20 years later, the big bro and musical genius @wyclefjean still got me out here making sure the world learns Chinese,” Jin wrote in the caption. “This little jam session is proof that some of the most magical moments are unrehearsed and can be only captured once!

“2023 is the year of the Rabbit, but I also hope it’s a Year of MO MUN TAI for you and yours!!” he continued. “Lay ho ma! Sak pase! #CantoneseCreoleConnection”

“Learn Chinese” was Jin’s first official single following his rise to fame upon winning seven battles in a row on 106 & Park‘s Freestyle Friday segment. Wyclef produced and co-wrote the song, which lived on Jin’s debut album through Ruff Ryders Entertainment, The Rest Is History.

Wyclef has been busy as of late, recently reuniting with Lil Wayne as well in what’s rumored to be a session for the forthcoming Carter 6. The pair shared a photo posing together with a pair of guitars in the studio back in September, just weeks after Weezy teased C6 during the Young Money reunion concert with Drake and Nicki Minaj.

The pair’s working relationship dates back to their 2007 smash hit “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)” with Akon, which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year.

Clef is also gearing up for a reunion tour with The Fugees, which was first announced in 2021 but canceled after one date because of the pandemic. In a conversation with HipHopDX over the summer, the famed producer/artist promised that the show will be back on the road soon.

“All I could do is tell you that with the Fugees, I’m very excited and I look forward to it getting rescheduled,” Wyclef said. “I look forward. As a fan of the Fugees, I’m very excited. All I could do is just tell all the fans, do not lose hope, because y’all know we the Hip Hop Grateful Dead. We going to get this thing cracking [laughs].”
