Jim Jones has shown off his skateboard skills in a new video while revealing that he really wants to drop a merch line inspired by skateboard culture.

On Wednesday (March 15), Capo took to his Instagram with a post of him riding around on a board inside a clothing warehouse. Jimmy didn’t perform any crazy tricks but showed he knew how to move around on a board with precision, which many of his followers had no idea he could do.

In his caption, the Dipset member explained there’s not a lot he can’t achieve, such as wanting to drop a skateboard merchandise line — he just needs a company to collaborate with on the project.

“Not to much tht I can’t do still skating on u n-$$as in this game,” Capo captioned his post. “I wanna do a skate board and merch drop I need a skateboard company to partner wit I’m very serious Shout to @purple_brand we got something for fashion creatives comin u gone love.”

Fellow Dipset member Freeky Zekey decided to have some fun with the video by heading to the comments section and tagging Lil Wayne to say Jim wanted to challenge him to a battle of the boards.

“@liltunechi just got off the Line wit @jimjonescapo he wanna Battle,” Freekey said.

Jim Jones may want to set up a meeting with Weezy, especially after he became a professional skateboarder at the end of 2022. In December, Lil Wayne was surprised to receive his first-ever pro-model skateboard, signifying years of his amateur status would be no more.

Phil Lopez, who serves as the videographer for Young Money Skate, wanted to celebrate Wayne’s hard work over the years and gifted him a pro model board decorated with a photo of the rapper as a child along with some of Weezy’s favorite rap lyrics.

Jim, on the other hand, stepped into a different skating culture in 2007 when he sponsored the DipSkate team, a freestyle roller skate team headed by Calvin Sayles and Ramelle Knight. Freestyle rolling follows in the footsteps of extreme sports and is often referred to as “aggressive skating.” It’s a modern-day progression of inline skating, which blends music and fashion.

In 2006, two New York filmmakers, Chris and Courtney Brown, released a documentary on freestyle rolling called Know Difference, which caught the attention of Capo and had him get involved with the culture.

“When I got the opportunity to see [The Brown Brothers’] tape, and they told me how the skaters feel when it comes to the Diplomats, I was honored,” said Jim at the time. “They feel like we’re the realest thing out there and they love everything that we’re doing, so it was a beautiful opportunity.”
