While the segment was filmed earlier in November, PIX11 aired Jones’ interview with Monica Morales on Monday (November 27) during which he received the framed certificate of appreciation.

Footage emerged on Monday (November 27) showing the Dipset rapper making the rounds at the news station and sitting down for an interview with Morales. Jones even ran into Ja Rule around the hallways.

Jones has hosted various giveaways over the years including school drives in his hometown of Harlem, and has taken part in a number of other charitable efforts such as pulling up to women’s shelters around Christmas time.

Last August, the rapper took over PS 208 Alaine Locke School on 111th Street between 5th and Lenox Avenues for a back-to-school event that provided kids with free book bags, school supplies, sneakers, clothes, laptops and more.

When he isn’t giving back, Jimmy recently voiced a suggestion for Nike to reward good students and incentivize them with gear to do well in school.

During an appearance on Full Size Run earlier in November, Capo shared his thoughts on the Nike Refurbished program that allows sneakerheads to buy second-hand shoes directly from Nike, rather than through a reseller.
