Jhené Aiko has announced her plans to hit the road this summer and take her act across North America.
On Tuesday (March 26), the R&B star revealed the itinerary for the Magic Hour Tour. The 27-date run is scheduled to commence in June and will remain in motion for a little over two months.
The first show will take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on June 19, after which it will pass through a number cities in the United States and one in Canada. On August 22, the concert series will come to a close with at show at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Coi Leray, Tink, UMI and Kiana Ledé will serve as opening acts.
Presale is set to begin on Wednesday (March 27), followed by a general onsale the following day. Tickets can be purchased here.
Last month, Aiko was reportedly sued over a car accident that took place two years ago. According to legal documents obtained by The Blast in mid-February, the 36-year-old is being accused of negligence for a crash that occurred in July of 2022 at a traffic light.
The singer is being taken to court by an individual named Genelle Ligot, who claims that the singer “struck” her vehicle from behind while waiting at a traffic light at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Hayvenhurst Avenue in Encino, California.
The document regarding the matter reads: “[Ligot] was stopped at a traffic light when [Aiko] struck [her] from behind. Due to the negligent actions of [Aiko] while operating the motor vehicle, [Ligot] was injured in health, strength, and activity.”
Because of said ordeal, the plaintiff claims to have suffered “wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, general damage, property damage and loss of earning capacity.”
Ligot is also demanding a jury trial, claiming that Aiko acted negligently and caused her injuries.
