Jermaine Dupri has taken fans back to the early 2000s as he previewed an upcoming anthem featuring Nelly, Ashanti and Juicy J.

The So So Def boss teased a snippet in the studio bumping the unreleased gem of the posse cut oozing with star power.

“Boy, I really want to stay. So we can play this little game we play,” Ashanti beautifully sings in the chorus, which borrows from the 1995 track “This Lil’ Game We Play” by Subway and 702.

Dupri shared a teaser of the tune to social media on Wednesday (January 3) and explained that it will land on his upcoming EP which is set to be released later in 2024 via Mass Appeal.

“Yo, what’s up y’all,” says JD in the clip. “I’m in here tryna get this mix done on my new record featuring Nelly, Ashanti, and Juicy J… It’s an EP on Mass Appeal. The first single was with me and Jacquees called ‘Pick It Up.’ This gonna be the second song. That’s what we on today.”

Jermaine Dupri previously teased the record back in November, a couple of months after Nelly confirmed he had rekindled his relationship with Ashanti.

This will serve as Ashanti and Nelly’s first time reuniting on wax since 2008’s “Body On Me.”

While rumors circulated throughout 2023 about Nelly and Ashanti rekindling the flame, it wasn’t until September that the “Hot In Herre” artist went public about dating the singer.Nelly and Ashanti dated on-and-off for over a decade after hooking up in 2003,

“Yeah, we cool again,” he responded with a huge grin on Boss Moves With Rasheeda. “I think it surprised both of us.  It wasn’t anything that I don’t think planned. I think we were both doing pretty much what we do. Sometimes being separate you understand one another more.”

“It’s no pressure. Before, I felt both of us doing what we doing career wise and you got so many people in the middle of it, it could be tough.”
