Jelly Roll‘s performance at this year’s Stagecoach Festival was incredibly well received, so much so that a number of attendees are now saying he should’ve been the main event.
On Friday (April 26), the Tennessee native took the Main Stage for the penultimate set at the annual gathering’s opening night. This included performances of fan favorites such as “Save Me” and “Need A Favor;” covers of Toby Keith and Mildred J. Hill & Patty Hill; and guest appearances from T-Pain and ERNEST.

This undercard turned out to be a hard act to follow, as Eric Church disappointed and upset many people in the audience when he chose to perform acoustic gospel songs—along with two Hip Hop covers—for his headlining act rather than the music that earned him that spot.
“We have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok, and flat out deceived…” a person commented under a Stagecoach Instagram post of the controversial show.

“Jelly Roll should have closed the night,” another person added, while a third wrote: “The night was owned by Jelly Roll.”
One social-media user expressed her frustration at the whole situation with: “Absolutely ruined the vibe! Especially after having an amazing performance by Jelly Roll!”
Earlier this week, the 39-year-old’s wife Bunnie XO explained why the rapper and singer is no longer on the internet during an episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.
“My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his fucking weight, and that makes me want to cry, because he is the sweetest angel baby,” she said. “My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m going to have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him.
“The internet can say whatever the fuck they want about you and they say, ‘You’re a celebrity. You’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No the fuck we’re not. Enough is enough.”
Soon after the news began making the rounds online, Flavor Flav took to X (formerly Twitter) with a minute-long video sharing how much he loved his peer while expressing his frustration at the bullies who drove him offline.
