Jeezy Joins Jay Z & Roc Nation

Jeezy announced on Twitter yesterday (November 20) that he has teamed with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

The partnership means that Jay Z and Roc Nation will conduct business for Jeezy and his CTE company, according to karencivil.com.

Jeezy’s #ItsThaWorld2 mixtape is slated for a November 27 release, as per karencivil.com. It is set to feature production from Drumma Boy.

    #ItsThaWorld was released in May.

In September, Jeezy released the single “In My Head” and an album teaser video that featured the Georgia rapper saying that “the statute of limitations is over with.”

“A lot of y’all know when I came in the game, I pretty much came in the game with my hands behind my back,” Jeezy said. “’Cause a lot of the shit I’d a like to talk about or could’ve talked about probably would have got me in a lot of trouble. This is probably my first album where I can explain and let niggas know where I stand. In layman’s terms, the statute of limitations is over with.”

The footage features Usher, Future and Ludacris, and deejays DJ Drama and Don Cannon, among others.

Jeezy also signed Compton, California rapper YG to his CTE imprint this year.

      1. Nothing wrong with getting a little assistance from one of the best to ever do it, Jeezy needs to position himself as a competent CEO so he can attract more talent like Gangsta Gibbs but know how to jump start their careers.

      2. Jeezy dropped the ball with Freddie Gibbs and it’s not Gangsta Gibbs fault. A cold day in helll and BFK were two excellent mixtapes he dropped on CTE. But Jeezy instead chose YG and Doughboyz Cashout to promote and push. Gangsta Gibbs is getting shows in Europe and not even a major artist. So it shows he doesn’t need Jeezy at all to be succesful.

      1. Jeezy is still a Gold selling artist in a genre that only has a handful of Gold artists.
Roc Nation is home to the Gold selling artists Kanye & J. Cole.
It is a good partnership because JayZ is an awesome CEO and Jeezy needs to learn the ropes.

      1. jayz is the greatest, he wakes up to Beyonce and he is with millions, he even defeated the almighty Nas in a battle. Jeezy is played out but he can become a mogul with help from Jay.

      2. When you wake up from your weed-induced coma, I’ll introduce you to a little something I like to call reality.

      3. well i don’t see what dude what saying which isn’t real…he really is waking up to beyonce with millions, not sure about the Nas part tho lol

    1. Jayz has mastery of Kaballah and he is illuminated to a degree or has people in his inner circle that are initiates, I watch the symbology in his visuals and the numerology of his release dates and he’s up on his ish.

He loves that letter “J” with his Roc signees being J. Cole & Jay Electronic so it’s a no brainer with a Jeezy.
      Work ya alchemy Bruh.

YG is a talented artists with a Hit single so Jay is making the right move at the right time.

      1. Why do children think having knowledge is a conspiracy theory?

Is it beyond the realm of belief that JayZ would release an album not only based on maximum return and climate of the industry but also on numerical value?

JayZ is clearly an enlightened individual and illuminated/enlightened people are aware of symbology, numerology and how to best channel energy.

      2. Yeah, okay, you have way too much time on your hands, so if you are black and successful e.g you have a family life, you can afford to pay your bills, you don’t sound stupid each time you open your mouth, your meal doesn’t consist of McDs, 25 cnt juice, you are part of Illuminati. Okay, explain the MJs. No, so Em, Celine Dion, Gates, Zuckenberg and any rich or white person deserved to be in their espective positions because they are white but if you are black and successfull you are….mmm okay, genius.

    2. til I saw the paycheck which said $9122, I accept that my friends brother was like actualie earning money in there spare time on there computar.. there sisters roommate had bean doing this less than 22 months and just took care of the mortgage on there villa and got themselves a BMW. read the article.., http://www.Fb39.com

Why are you shitting on peoples brand in the media when the disagreement you had was personal?!?!? I think Kanye is officially a sellout esp with those confederate flag jackets and bringing a white jesus on stage. Nigga you lost. fuck off.

      1. Jeezy didn’t need to do this move to remain relevant

all he needs to do is drop an album, which he hasn’t done in a while cause he’s doin things. nigga’s got a strong backing in atlanta.

      2. nah thats the whole point dude, he aint doing things at all…def jam have been cockblocking his album and he’s been getting pissed off about it. the math to me looks like since jay signed him to def jam he feels like he has responsibility or respect somewhat to take him back into the right situation.

      3. Def Jam is not cockblocking an album, they want some fukin singles and some motivation on Jeezys end to show he can maneuver in this climate of Emo-Hop.

        JayZ did not sign Jeezy.

    3. When people look back at Jay’s tenure at Def Jam, you can’t say he didn’t make the right moves. He broke Jeezy, Ross and Rhianna. Artists that still have mass appeal and never needed a feature from Jay to push the Albums minus Umbrella and a couple Mayback Music joints. Jay just knows how to move.

      1. Shakir Stewart signed Jeezy not JayZ, get your facts straight.

Jeezy does not have “mass appeal” he is a street oriented artist that primarily caters to the streets with minimal crossover success after his initial success.

Yeah Jay knows how to move which is why hes making moves

      2. Stewart also signed Rick Ross, I do know my facts. I never said he signed them, I said he broke them. There was a huge difference behind the marketing campaigns of Jeezy to let’s say a Joe Budden. And pump it up was a bigger single than Jeezy’s first, yet they still put more effort and money into Jeezy’s career which was in fact, the right thing to do. He knew which artist needed to come out at that time, that’s what he was there for.

    4. That could work. Out of all trap music, I perfer his. The hardest thing to do with Jeezy is to get him to expand beyond the trap shit. And if he did; how would it sound?

    5. Dope. Both of them can look to benefit from this partnership. Congrats.

      1. how did gucci expose him?

jeezy sent the shooters to rob gucci. thats gotta count for something even if one of them got clapped

    6. How can he possibly focus on YG & DOUGHBOYZ CASHOUT when he trying to push his own product? GANGSTA GIBBS was right. JEEZY look out for JEEZY

    7. “all he needs to do is drop an album, which he hasn’t done in a while cause he’s doin things”

Yeah, like partying in Miami where he stated he lost his desire to rap.
