JAY-Z‘s mom Gloria Carter just tied the knot to her longtime partner – and the wedding’s guest list was a who’s who of A-list names.
Mama Hov walked down the aisle to wed girlfriend Roxanne Wilshire on Sunday (June 2), of course with her famous son and daughter-in-law Beyoncé on-hand to celebrate. According to TMZ, also in the building were Bey’s bestie Kelly Rowland, Tyler Perry, Good Morning America host Robin Roberts, Corey Gamble – seemingly sans any of the Kardashian/Jenner clan – and more.

On 2017’s 4:44, JAY-Z told the story of finding out about his mother’s struggle to hide her sexuality on his track “Smile.” While Hov later admitted in an interview that Gloria wasn’t okay with the song at first, both of them realized the message was too important not to share with the rest of the world.
At the 29th GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Awards in Los Angeles in 2018, “Smile” was the recipient of a Special Recognition award – and Ms. Carter accepted the award on Hov’s behalf while delivering a touching speech.

After Robin Roberts introduced her, Ms. Carter thanked several people and relived the moment she told her son about who she really is. She also explained why she wasn’t completely forthcoming with others and the moment it all changed — meeting her then-partner, who blew her an encouraging kiss mid-speech.
“Here I am. I’m loving. I’m respectful. I’m productive and I’m a human being who has a right to love who I love,” she said in closing. “So everybody — just smile, be free. Thank you and God bless.”
In other JAY-Z news, a bidet once used by Hov and Bey at their home recently went up for auction at the listing price of $2,400.
The “Crazy In Love” pair lived in a Holmby Hills mansion in 2015, and after their one-year lease expired, the homeowner sold the property. The buyers then decided to renovate the building, which is how Eric from “Eric’s Architectural Salvage LA” got his hands on the disposed-of goods.

According to the eBay listing, the bidet sold for $25 over asking price on June 26.
