Jay-Z & Michael Jackson On-Stage Together

During a break in his set as headliner for the Hot 97 Summer Jam 2001, Jay-Z brought none other than the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, onto the stage before a sold-out crowd at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum. The two did not perform together but Jay showcased his latest single, “H to the Izzo” featuring a hot sample from the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back”, to the audience of the summer’s biggest concert.

The two simply stood on-stage together and the crowd made its most noise of the night at a venue featuring other star performers: Ja Rule, Destiny’s Child, R. Kelly, Ludacris, Eve, Nelly and Outkast. The only words offered by the Gloved One were, “I love you all” before leaving the stage. Since the appearance, rumors have surfaced about a collaboration on Jigga Man’s next album with guest vocals from Jackson. There no reports so far about Hova’s involvement with MJ’s highly anticipated new LP.
