JAY-Z’s “Book of HOV” Exhibit will now feature a ’90s Lexus similar to the one used in one of his most iconic music videos and featured in the lyrics of some of his biggest records.

On Thursday (September 14), Jigga’s landmark “off-white Lexus” installation made its debut accompanied with the press statement: “Roc Nation and Lexus proudly announce the addition of a 1993 Lexus GS 300 at The Book of HOV, an immersive exhibit at Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Location.

“The iconic Lexus was first featured in JAY-Z’s ‘Dead Presidents’ visual, and then in the lyrics of ‘Can I Live’ and the #1 hit, ‘Empire State Of Mind.’ Situated alongside the Central Library on Eastern Parkway, the Lexus is the first of artifacts that will be added to The Book Of HOV.”

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez wrote: “We’re excited to partner with Lexus to bring JAY-Z’s iconic ‘Off-White Lexus’ to The Book of HOV. The new installation adds another element of JAY-Z’s career to the exhibit that visitors can enjoy. The response to The Book Of HOV has been overwhelming, so we’re excited to extend the exhibit to December to ensure new and returning attendees can have enough opportunities to fully immerse themselves into the experience.”

JAY-Z’s “Book of HOV” exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library has been a roaring success, so much so that it was extended for two extra months soon after opening earlier this year. In late July, the establishment announced that it will run until October thanks to the positive reception it generated.

“We’re thrilled to share #TheBookOfHOV exhibit will run until October. Stop by any time this summer to see this free exhibit, or plan your visit for the fall,” the library wrote in a Twitter post.

According to its website, the multimedia exhibition “presents thousands of archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, iconic stage wear, prestigious awards and recognitions, as well as videos and artifacts from every facet on JAY-Z’s professional life.”

Tracing the billionaire mogul’s journey from Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to global stardom, the exhibition aims to “provide a behind-the-scenes look at a Hall of Fame songwriter and performer, successful business person and a consequential philanthropist” while celebrating his “artistry, roots, accomplishments and transcendent cultural impact.”
